This list is just my opinion and are the IDE that I belive be more reliable, of course there are lots of another goods ones.

1. Atom

It’s probably the most used IDE by programmers. The atom has so many functionalitys that become the most used IDE by Github. It’s complete customized, using themes that are complete free and exists one community that are developing modules and extensions to atom, turning atom a really good IDE. By the way the atom supports differents programming languages.

  • Free
  • Windows, Mac, Linux
  • Multiple programming languages
  • Design

2. Visual Studio Code

Between the visual studio code and atom it’s not easy decide who is better. In my opinion they are the “beasts” of IDE’s. I just put it the studio code in second place, because I’m more familier with Atom. Just like a web browser Visual Studio Code has extensions to diferents needs.

  • Free, Fast and Reliable
  • Windows, Mac, Linux
  • Multiple programming languages

3. Eclipse

Was and It’s the most used IDE in world. Why? Because it’s free and suports lots of diferents languages using plugins. Your biggest use is for Java development, that’s why he is on top of the most used. Yes, we have the Netbeans, but even that I prefered the Eclipse, is more easy to use, more fast, and for students the Netbeans allows “drag and drop” without plugin and this funcionality is bad because they don’t know create graphical interfaces without drag and drop. One factor that turn Eclipse the most used IDE in world was the Android development.

  • Free, Fast and Reliable
  • Windows, Mac, Linux
  • Supports plugins
  • Multiple programming languages
  • Easy to use

4. Android Studio

Android Studio is not like the others, because we just can development for Android. In my opinion, who want start development for android and even who is already android developer this one is the best IDE. First was developed by Google, which is the company that is developing the Android. Second supports drag and drop. Third has the Android SDK, that are the best tools we can have for Android development (Android SDK is available for others IDE).

  • Free
  • Windows, Mac
  • Supports plugins
  • Only support Android Development
  • Can be complicated to use
  • Use a lots of ram and cpu

Conclusion

There are a lots of good IDE, for me this four are the most importants and the betters IDE. We should use a IDE, not because all developers use, we need to like it and be confortable while using. I will write a list down here with others IDE.
